Anushka, Phantom, Eros Need To 'Apologise' To Get A Tv Telecast Of NH 10 !
Now, Pahlaj Nihalani has taken up cudgels of a different kind. Not his usual moral policing this time. The Censor Chairperson is out to stop the export of 'uncertified' Bollywood flicks.

It has come to his notice that several films in Bollywood are being sent to near and far-flung countries without a censor certificate.

SpotboyE.com has learnt that NH10 was a case in point.

A little birdie whispered to Pahlaj about the NH 10 faux pas. The Censor Chief flew into a rage. He almost immediately put his team into action.

In a couple of days, the Aankhen filmmaker laid his hands on the Censor certificate that a neighbouring country had provided to the film. The certificate in question had the censor board of that country pointing out similar cuts, which Pahlaj had demanded at the censor screening in Mumbai but with a slight difference. It was now stark clear that the neighbouring country had received an 'uncertified' copy from India.

Breathing fire, Pahlaj promptly notified NH10's co-producers Anushka Sharma and Phantom Films and distributor Eros International. But it seems that the trio gave him a deaf ear. Now, that added serious insult to the injury.

Little did the trio know that Pahlaj would soon get an opportunity to hit back when they would sunil their film for TV certification.

Pahlaj refused to certify the film unless and until the makers sign an 'undertaking' saying that they pledge not to commit the same harakiri again.

As on date, NH 10 lies at Pahlaj's table waiting for a signed undertaking from Anushka, Phantom and Eros.

Confirming the story, Pahlaj said, "Yes this is true. But not only NH 10, there are many other films as well which have been exported from India either without a censor certificate or a bogus one. It is high time that we put an end to this menace. Am I doing anything wrong? Ain't I just doing my job?"

Despite a text message, Phantom Films and Eros International chose not to comment.
